Boy Injured in Freak Accident

Wyoming
by Peter Jackson

A two year old Plympton Wyoming child is improving in hospital after his windpipe was damaged in a freak accident.

Lambton OPP say the toddler was playing with his five year-old brother on the family's Michigan Line property last Friday when the ramp of a utility trailer swung down and pinned him underneath.

The child was transferred to London Health Sciences Centre in critical condition but has since been upgraded to fair.

Police say the boys may have removed the locking pin from the ramp while they were playing and remind rural property owners with young kids to securely lock any items that could fall.
