Attack-Becker Shoes The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League named Steven Shipley as their Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week Shipley notched his first career Ontario Hockey League Hat-Trick in a 5-3 win Friday night over the Sarnia Sting. The Attack will be back in action Wednesday when they face the London Knights. Game time at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre is 7 pm. Owen Sound holds the final playoff spot in the Western Conference by 4 points over Guelph.

Only 1 WOAA North Senior Hockey Playoff series remains to be decided. The Durham Thundercats forced a 5th and deciding game in their series with the Ripley Wolves by scoring a 2-1 victory yesterday in Durham. Brad Cripps scored the overtime winner for the Thundercats who tied the best of 5 at 2 wins apiece and extended the series to a deciding game tomorrow night at 8:30 in Ripley. The Elora Rocks, Shelburne Muskies & Saugeen Shores Winterhawks won their quarterfinals and now advance to the semifinal round in the North.

Minor Hockey Meeting The WOAA Local League Playoff Scheduling Meeting for the Central South Division is tonight at 7:30 pm at the Wingham Legion. This meeting is for Novice, Atom and Peewee, plus all Bantam & Midget Local league teams All WOAA teams are advised to have a representative present with ice times.
Minor Lacrosse Brad & Tammy Caskanette have taken over as the Tournament Chairs for the 2010 Harry Kazarian Memorial Minor Lacrosse Tournament. The annual tournament, which has been running since the late 1980's, will be staged June 18th to 20th in Owen Sound. Each Divisional Championship game will be held at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Center on Sunday June 20th.
