MTO Looking For Public Input

Shakespeare
by Jon Meyer

Officials with the Ministry of Transportation  are looking for more public input as they take a closer look at route alternatives on Highway 7/8 for the Shakespeare area.

The Ministry is looking at a possible by-pass North, South and through the hamlet.

Potential route changes will be discussed at a public workshop in late March.

They plan to use input from that workshop to develop a broader range of options and then come back for public input this Summer.

By December, the MTO will have their preferred alternative route for Shakespeare and the entire 7/8 corridor - with planned public meetings in Stratford, Shakespeare and New Hamburg.
